Perfect Diet.

Don’t diet.
The Women's Health Diet isn't about eating less, it's about eating more nutrient-dense food, to crowd out the empty calories and keep you full all day. That's important, because restricting food will kill your metabolism. It sends a signal to your body that says, "I'm starving here" And your body responds by slowing your metabolic rate to hold on to existing energy stores.

Go to Bed Earlier
A study in Finland looked at sets of identical twins and discovered that in each set of siblings, the twin who slept less and was under more stress had more visceral fat.

Eat More Protein
Your body needs protein to maintain lean muscle. In a 2006 article in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researchers argued that the current recommended daily intake for protein, 0.36 grams per pound of body weight, is woefully inadequate for anyone doing resistance training and recommend that women get between 0.54 and 1 gram per pound of body weight.

Drink Cold Water
German researchers found that drinking 6 cups of cold water a day (that's 48 ounces) can raise resting metabolism by about 50 calories daily, enough to shed 5 pounds in a year, with essentially zero additional effort. The increase may come from the work it takes to heat the water to body temperature.

Eat the Heat
It turns out that capsaicin, the compound that gives chilli peppers their heat, can also fire up your metabolism. Eating about 1 tablespoon of chopped peppers (red or green) boosts your sympathetic nervous system (responsible for your fight-or-flight response), according to a study published in the Journal of Nutritional Science and Vitamin logy. The result: a temporary metabolism spike of about 23 percent. Stock up on chilli peppers to add to salsas, and keep a jar of red-pepper flakes on hand for topping pizzas, pastas, and stir-fries.

Laptop Radiation Effects

This image are simple of  phone call...as you know, phone and laptop are made from  electronic component...can be , laptop effect are more then phone...just think about it...

Significance
The New York Times reports that 54 percent of Americans aged 18 to 30 own at least one laptop. However, few studies have been done on the effects of laptop radiation. This causes concern amongst many laptop users because we often spend hours with our laptops in physical contact with our body. Even if you do not have a laptop, wireless Internet, also known as "Wi-Fi," can still emit radiation into the air, according to a BBC report.

Considerations
It is important to note that although the effects of laptop radiation have no definitive scientific consensus, the type of radiation emitted from radio waves, televisions and laptop screens is considered low energy, non-ionizing radiation. Non-ionizing radiation generally does not have the energy to break chemical bonds and cause health problems associated with ionizing radiation from nuclear sources, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Misconceptions
Laptop screens do not pose any danger to the eyes, claims the Health Physics Society. The common issue of "eye fatigue" usually comes from the set-up from your computer. A brightness setting too high, sitting too close to the monitor and monitor height are common sources of eye fatigue. In addition, the Food and Drug Administration regulates radiation emission standards from laptops.

Warning
The only possible danger from the effects of laptop radiation is "thermal radiation," also known as heat. Anything that has warmth, such as the human body, will emit thermal radiation, according to the University of New Mexico. Thermal radiation is not like the type of dangerous radiation associated with nuclear material. When placed on the genitals, however, heat from laptops may cause infertility in men and women, but sperm are more prone to heat damage than ovaries, according to BabyCenter.

Prevention/Solution
The easiest way to prevent possible reproductive damage from laptop thermal radiation is to simply put your laptop on your thighs, or use it at a desk. If you are pregnant, place the laptop anywhere except your abdomen, according to the Health Physics Society. When buying a laptop, make sure to look for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services label confirming that it has been tested for safe levels of radiation.

Benefit From Egg.

SOMEONE mentioned to me about an article in your newspaper entitled "Eggs go ahead and have another serving" and was wondering if she could now start taking eggs daily as recommended by the columnist. I quickly found the article and found it to be an interesting read.

There has been a lot of attention regarding eggs in the media over the past few years. It sounds like the columnist has done her research well. She correctly stated the current evidence which shows that the amount of cholesterol you eat does not greatly contribute to the amount of cholesterol in your blood.

May I also add that the amount of saturated fat you consume is a more important cause for increasing someone's blood cholesterol. This is a relevant fact because in Brunei we seldom eat our eggs boiled (kopitiam style) or on its own without addition of extra toppings like mayonnaise.

As the columnist was visiting a burger/sandwich bar, I would make this an example. Most of these would use cheap cooking oil which probably contains saturated fat; using butter or margarine to toast the bun; and burger meat made from minced meat containing a lot of visible fat all of which would have the potential of increasing someone's cholesterol.

It is also worth mentioning that dietary cholesterol may still have an impact on risk of developing a heart attack in the future. Larger and long-term studies are needed to fully determine the impact of a high cholesterol diet in high risk individuals. With this in mind, eggs are also not the only source of dietary cholesterol. I would factor this in as well when I decide to have an extra egg with my meals.

So what did I say to my friend I mentioned earlier? As she had a genetic predisposition to getting high cholesterol called familial hypercholestraemia and has a family history of early heart disease, unless she has been advised otherwise by her doctor or dietician, moderation was my advice.
